What makes our school special?

We believe every child is an individual with full human rights.

BAS offers a balanced program of learning and experience in a warm, caring community. We partner closely with families to support each student’s intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

We foster curiosity and a love of discovery in a cooperative environment where:

Families are active partners in school life and in the classroom (in consultation with the teacher).
Open communication between students, parents/guardians, and teachers is a priority.
Community is built intentionally, with families helping shape the direction of the school.
Siblings are welcome at community events and, at times, in classrooms with supervision.

BAS is a shared community—staff, students, families, and administration—working together with respect and care.
